In early 2011, the Scholarship Program through the ACFW Scholarship Foundation was announced and 60 applications were received.
In February 2011, the Friends of ACFW program was initiated offering Bronze, Silver and Gold membership levels with benefits for each level.
In February 2011, the Operating Board members and six Advisory Board members traveled to the Hyatt Regency St. Louise at the Arch in St. Louis for their spring meetings. During that time, they were able to inspect the hotel site for the 2011 conference and develop several new programs for ACFW.
Registration for the 2011 national conference opened in May.
In June 2010, at ICRS, ACFW announced a major change to its Book of the Year Contest. In honor of Carol Johnson, a pioneer in Christian fiction, ACFW’s awards for published authors were renamed the Carol Awards.
On September 22, 2011, the ACFW National Conference opened at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch in St. Louis, MO. Stanley Wilson gave an early bird seminar and spoke on “The Moral Premise.” The keynote speaker was Tracie Peterson, who gave two addresses, both encouraging writers no to give up and helping them remember for whom they write and why.
President Margaret Daley gave the State of ACFW address. She shared that the Genesis Contest will accept only entries from completed manuscripts beginning in 2013 and unveiled that ACFW will have its own magazine, the ACFW Journal. She also presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Tracie Peterson.

In May 2011, the board accepted the resignation of Camy Tang as List Hostess and Moderator. The duties of List Hostess and Moderator were combined into the List Hostess position and Georgiana Daniels and Betsy St. Amant agreed to share that position.
In May 2011, Camy Tang stepped down as coordinator of the ACFW Genesis Contest. Pam Meyers agreed to take over as coordinator.
Pam Meyers resigned as New Releases Coordinator in December 2011. Web Manager Becky Yauger agreed to fill that position, effective December 2011.
During the last half of October, nominations for the following board positions of Membership Officer, Secretary, and Volunteer Officer were opened. Elections ran from November 15 through November 30, 2011.
In December 2011, the newly elected officers were announced:
