PALM BAY, Fla.-American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), the premiere support organization for writers of Christian fiction, is pleased to announce its newest innovation, the ACFW Journal. The publication will be a full-color print magazine launching April 2012. Industry professional, Michael Ehret, has been named editor.
Ehret said, “As the editor of ACFW Journal, my goal is to provide members with not only an outstanding reading experience but also a tool they can use to improve their writing, enhance their marketing efforts, and deepen their knowledge about the industry. Even more than that, I want members to see the magazine as theirs—to participate in it and interact with it. It’s an extension of community, a place for Christian fiction writers of all levels of experience to join together, learn from each other, and bring glory to God.”
Margaret Daley, best-selling author and ACFW president said, “As The Voice of Christian Fiction, ACFW wants to expand its reach as it teaches writers at all levels and to highlight the growth of fiction in Christian publishing. This magazine is a tool to enhance what we already do so well: train and support writers of Christian fiction at every level of publication while continuing to serve as an advocate within the industry.”
The ACFW Journal will be published quarterly and distributed to more than 3,000 Christian fiction authors, aspiring writers, editors, agents, publicists, readers, and industry professionals. The publication is accepting articles, features, and many other different types of submissions directly from authors, making it a unique product in the industry-a magazine for writers, written by writers. Content for the ACFW Journal will be broken down into five main sections: Industry/Career, Marketing, Craft, The Writer’s Life, and ACFW News.
