That God’s will be accomplished at the conference
Psalm 115:1–Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.
Dear Lord, as we gather in Dallas, we are filled with thoughts of what the time will hold. Workshops, fellowship, worship, meetings with mentors, editors, agents, and old friends. Our purposes are many. Some want to hone their craft; others would love to see publication of the stories You’ve placed on their hearts. Still others will be thrilled to see their latest novels for sale in the bookstore.
Lord, no matter what our objectives are in attending the ACFW conference, we pray according to Psalm 115:1 that Your will be done, that Your name be glorified in and through everything that occurs. If any honor comes to us, let us freely give the credit back to You. Help us see that You alone are responsible for any ambition we see come to fruition or any award we may receive. Your love and faithfulness is to be praised above everything else. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
