Topic: Clarity of speech for those pitching projects
Verse: Philippians 4: 13–I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this chance to take our writing to the next leg of our writing journey by presenting it to an agent or editor. Give us an inner confidence that this is all under Your control. You gave this story to us for a reason. You wanted it written in our words for a specific audience.
Help us feed off the advice of the other writers traveling this same road. Give us the clarity of speaking our heart’s cry that went into our story. Focus our thoughts on the audience You intend this book to touch. Calm our nerves so we can communicate the message You gave us to tell.
Let us know when to be silent and simply listen to advice being given back to us. May we learn from what we say and hear to become better writers and better people.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
