Topic: For all attending to rest in God’s timing for their lives
Psalm 37:4-5–Delight yourself in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it.
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
How we adore you; we praise your holy name. You are the Author; we are merely pens in your almighty hand.
We confess our impatience. We are eager for success. We strain against time and seek to accomplish in our own power and on our own schedule what can only be done in your power and on your schedule. Forgive our pride and impatience.
Thank you, Lord, for the stories you have given us. Thank you for the provision that allows those attending conference to make this investment in their careers and ministries. Thank you for wisdom and patience as we pursue our goals.
Bless these writers, Lord, as they enter into this time of fellowship. Give them insight and humility when the answers they hear are not those they long for. Remind them of your great faithfulness; give them hope for the journey. We trust that for each of these writers you have a plan that will come to fruition when you deem it appropriate. Give them comfort and rest as they wait upon your good will.
May they feel your presence not only in the days of this conference, but every day as they walk the path you have set for them, as they achieve the accomplishments you have set for them in your perfect timing. Amen.
