Topic: ACFW members unable to attend the conference
Verse: Jeremiah 29:11–For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Lord, we have all tasted disappointment at one time or another, and for many, it is a disappointment to be unable to attend the ACFW conference. Help each of us who is not at conference to realize that we are right where You intend us to be and that we are fulfilling Your purpose right where You have us.
Give us all special God-moments that will take our breath away-a tender moment with a spouse or child, a ministry moment with a friend in need, some great writing news or achievements we wouldn’t have reached otherwise. Help each of us to focus on our first and most important ministry-our families-and whatever other tasks You set before us.
Keep envy from our hearts. Let us celebrate with our friends who are at conference, and let us learn much from the at-home conference sessions. Father, we love You, and we trust that Your plans are never to harm us but are always to give us a future and a hope. We praise You for Your perfect plan for us, apart from the conference. In Your most holy name we pray, amen.
