CONFERENCE WHO'S WHO

CONFERENCE STAFF

CC TEMPLATE
Wanda Dyson
PHOTO: Wanda Dyson
 Name: Wanda Dyson
Position: Appointment Coordinator
Conference Task(s):
    Schedule conferee appointments with Editors and Agents, schedule critiques for conferees with authors
Website: http://www.WandaDyson.com
Contact Email: Wanda@acfw.com

Hailed by critics as an author that "gives up none of the pace and terror of the best secular crime thrillers while keeping a strong story of faith at its center," Wanda is in the process of writing the second book in the new Prodigal Recovery Series. "Shepherds Fall" the first book in the new series, will be released by Random House/Waterbrook next Spring. When she's not writing crime thrillers, Wanda can be found scheduling appointments for several Christian Writers conferences, riding her horses, raising rare "Silkies," dozing in the hammock with a good book, or taking her daughter four-wheeling.

Wanda and her daughter, Jayme, live on a 125 acre farm with 13 horses, a pony, 2 rabbits, 3 dogs, 4 barn cats, and somewhere around 60 chickens. Farm fresh eggs anyone?

Ronie Kendig

 Name: Ronie Kendig
Position: Book of the Year Coordinator
Conference Task(s):
    Book of the Year Coordinator, assistant to Wanda Dyson with editor/agent appointments.
Website: http://www.roniekendig.com
Contact Email: roniekendig@gmail.com

Ronie Kendig is a wife and mother of four children (two girls and twin sons). She has a BS in Psychology and divides her time between her family, writing, and ACFW duties. Ronie co-authored a true story with her husband that appears in Allison Bottke’s God Answers Prayers: Military Edition (Harvest House). In 2005, she won third place in the ACFW Noble Theme Contest in Science Fiction, and in 2007 she signed with her dream agent. An active member of ACFW, Ronie serves as List Hostess for the main e-loop and as the Book of the Year coordinator. She also volunteers on the Think-Tank committee for the national conference. Ronie has a fetish for all things Audrey Hepburn and elephants (odd, isn’t it?) and readily admits she could never make it without the love and support of her awesome crit partners, agent, and ACFW.

 Name: Allison Wilson
Position: Conference Staff Coordinator
Conference Task(s):
    For the faculty, I handle their hotel arrangements, pre-conference information gathering, and basically do whatever is possible to help their conference experience go smoothly. While at the conference, I coordinate the registration for the faculty and answer their questions, give them help where needed and any other jobs which keep things well "oiled."

I'm a mom of three, wife for 15 years to the love of my life and slightly nuts enough to have worked all the conferences. I've been a member of ACRW/ACFW when we had less than 100 members and have watched this amazing organization grow. I live in central Florida

This is the fourth conference I'm coordinating for ACFW. It has been gratifying and wonderful to work with the board and committee members to foster the tremendous growth and professionalism of this conference. To see the enthusiasm of new and returning conferees makes everything worthwhile. The pleasure of experiencing a successful event is what we planners live for and thrive on. I am honored to work with this organization.

I recently relocated from St. Paul, MN to Greater Chicagoland in Illinois, to pursue fresh perspective, new opportunities, and happiness. However, I look forward to welcoming you to my former stomping grounds in Minnesota. It's a wonderful location, the committee has put together a tremendous agenda, and I'm convinced this will be the best ACFW conference yet! See you there.

Position: Genesis Contest Coordinator
Conference Task(s):
    I get to announce the Genesis winners at the banquet!
Website: http://www.camytang.com/
Contact Email: camytang@gmail.com

Camy Tang is the loud Asian chick who writes loud Asian chick lit. Her latest chick lit romance is released in August, Single Sashimi. She used to be a biologist, but now she is a staff worker for her church youth group and leads a worship team for Sunday service. She also runs the Story Sensei fiction critique service. On her blog, she gives away Christian novels every Monday and Thursday, and she ponders frivolous things like dumb dogs (namely, hers), coffee-geek husbands (no resemblance to her own...), the writing journey, Asiana, and anything else that comes to mind. Visit her website at http://www.camytang.com/ and sign up for her newsletter YahooGroup for monthly giveways!
