"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)

This was my first conference and I loved it. Wonderful, friendly writing soul-mates all over the place. Great workshops, uplifting worship and keynote talks, and great opportunities to access editors and agents.

This was the first time I attended a ACFW conference, and I found the overall experience to be very positive. The knowledge I learned was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly. It was really felt as though there were no strangers present, and everyone was one family.

Amazed at the wonderful spirit of the conference. It was like a writing conference and Christian retreat all in one.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship, the accommodations, the opportunities to meet with editors and agents and, above all, the spiritual impact of the 2006 conference.

This was my first conference and it far exceeded my expectations. I hadn’t expected such spiritualness about it, but like it.

As somebody who has nothing at stake in the ACFW conference (I don't sit on the board, I'm not a person of influence with the organization, etc), I thought you might appreciate hearing an unbiased opinion: If you plan to attend any writing gathering this year, GO TO THIS CONFERENCE. Really. I just got a look at what they're planning, and it's going to be that good. Strong presenters, great topics, a wonderful faculty, lots of chances to be face-to-face with people in the industry, and probably the biggest group of Christian novelists gathered in one place all year. If you're considering it, stop considering and decide to go. Really.

If you're novelist, the ACFW Conference is definitely the one to choose. You'll find teaching of fiction at all levels of skill and in various genres. The faculty is first-rate, and the conference is very well planned. The addition of the dress-up dinner for awards night makes the experience even more unique. You will not find another conference like this one.

It is directly because of ACFW Conferences that I met my agent, my future senior editor, and the editor who took my manuscript to committee. The conferences offer fabulous opportunities to network, form friendships, and fellowship with other Christians. God always does amazing things each year. I would not be published if not for the ACFW Conferences. |

Attending a good conference is the first piece of advice I give a new writer. The best part is being around other weirdos (writers) who totally get it when you talk about point of view. The friends you make at a conference can be lifelong!

There are few quality resources for the new and budding author that serve them as well as ACFW. More than a writer's conference, it's become a network of professionals and author friends whose primary goal is to make story and craft, idea and author, merge into projects that honor God and build the Kingdom. I highly endorse all of their efforts to help serve the creative efforts of those God has called to write.

The best part of ACFW conferences are the opportunities for growth. Certainly as a writer--the workshops are phenomenal!--but more importantly as a Christian writer dedicated to bringing glory to God through the penning of words. ACFW has helped grow me professionally, personally, and spiritually.
