  1. Hospital Tour

Join us for a tour of the world-class Methodist hospital in Indianapolis.

Spend time in an ER, empty exam rooms, and at nurses’ stations absorbing the sights and sounds of a hospital. Participate in interviews with clinicians. A general tour, this will give you a first-hand experience learning the movement of the staff. The tour will include the ER, Nursing Stations, and possibly the Children’s Station.

Located 2.7 miles from the hotel, this tour will require a short taxi ride, but that will be the only expense.

  2. Courthouse Tour

The Birch Bayh Federal Building and United States Courthouse is home to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Dating to 1905, the building is representative of the Beaux Arts style of architecture that was popular at the turn of the twentieth century. Inside, ornate mosaics, stained glass windows, murals, and sweeping marble staircases impress visitors and hide interesting stories and symbols. The building's two historic courtrooms are decorated with frieze murals, ornate marble, and original furniture, while still functioning as modern trial courtrooms. These courtrooms have hosted numerous trials, naturalization ceremonies, and other court events.

The tour takes in both historic courtrooms, providing court is not in session, as well as all of the other points of historic, artistic, and architectural interest in the building. The tour also describes the federal court system and the history of the federal courts in Indiana. The tour lasts about an hour, and unfortunately cameras are not permitted. A photo ID is required to enter the building.

The courthouse is approximately one mile from the hotel.
