Interview with Rick Barry

Rick Barry has freelanced over two hundred articles and short fiction stories for a variety of publications. A longtime WW II buff, in 2007 Rick painted wartime Europe as the stage for his YA novel Gunner’s Run (JourneyForth). In 2008 JourneyForth published his YA fantasy Kiriath’s Quest. Rick speaks Russian and is Director of Church Planting Support at BIEM, a Christian mission active in the former Soviet Union. He also serves as President of the Indiana chapter of American Christian Fiction Writers.

“When a good idea comes along, there’s a creative compulsion that simply wells up inside like an artesian spring. Writing prompts do nothing for me. But an intriguing idea for a story—that provides its own motivation.”
