Tim Downs

Tim Downs is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University. After graduation in 1976 he created a comic strip,Downstown, which was syndicated by Universal Press Syndicate until 1986. His cartooning has appeared in more than a hundred major newspapers worldwide. His first book, a work of non-fiction, was awarded the Gold Medallion Award in 2000, and his third novel, PlagueMaker, was awarded the Christy Award for best CBA suspense novel of 2007. Tim lives in Cary, North Carolina, with his wife Joy.

Platinum Level
  • Company logo on the Conference Website pages. Initial pages are already live on the website providing your company with up to ten months of logo visibility. In 2009, ACFW had more than 1500 unique hits to the conference webpages, all of which highlight our sponsors' logos.
  • Full-page color ad in a prime location in the 2010 ACFW Conference Program. The program is distributed to more than 500 people onsite and released to media outlets during the year.
  • A 20-slide presentation of your choice for promotional purposes to run during the time leading up to and after general sessions. The 2010 Conference schedule includes four separate sessions in which the slide presentations will run. In 2009, ACFW had over 550 attendees, as well as faculty and staff of the hotel, bookstore, etc.
  • One free conference registration (four days of conference attendance, all conference meals included).
  • Invitation for two to the private reception with keynote speaker Tim Downs.
  • Display table in the general conference area to display information about your company. This could include, but is not limited to, your company's upcoming new releases, features of your company's authors, etc.
  • Prime location of your authorŐs novels that are available in the conference bookstore.
  • Company logo on the conference sponsorship banner displayed throughout conference in a highly-visible area for not only conference attendees, but other patrons of the hotel and the hotel restaurants.
  • Opportunity to provide books/bookmarks/handouts, etc of your choosing at one of the two scheduled lunches. (First come, first served basis)
  • Ability to "reserve" one table (for up to 10 registered attendees) for the awards banquet
  • Recognition from the podium during a general session

Slots for ads and meals will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. ACFW will solely determine all details and logistics for the fulfillment of the sponsorship packages, and of the conference meals, schedule and materials. ACFW reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, to deny any sponsorship application. ACFW is not responsible if logo and ad files are not received by any deadline or in any applicable form it may request.
