40 Days of Prayer: Day 10

ACFWConference, Prayer Leave a Comment

Day 10

Topic: The families we leave at home

Verse: Romans 8:26-27–In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Father God, thank you for the amazing opportunity to attend the ACFW conference. We’re all excited and eager to see what will happen, but we’re also leaving family behind, and for some of us that weighs heavily on our minds.

We pray for the spouses we leave who are left to be both mom and dad. Many will be taking care of children or aging parents and will be doing everything while keeping up with a full-time job. We ask that you’d give them safety, rest, and endurance. We pray for children who will be home without us, that they’ll enjoy time with their other parent or with grandparents and other relatives.

We ask that you keep our families safe from harm and that you allow us as conference attendees to make the most of our time in Indy. Please help those with tendencies to worry to give their families over to you and trust in you to do what’s best. We have no idea what the future holds, but we know that you do and that you will intercede for us with more perfect prayers than we could ever write.

Thank you, God, for loving us and blessing us with family and writing opportunities. May all we do, whether home with family or away with our fellow writers, bring honor and glory to you.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
