Day 22
Those in the Book of the Year contest

Psalm 31:14-15a–But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, You are my God. My times are in Your hand.

Father God, we come to you today to ask for your divine peace to penetrate the hearts of each author who has a book in the Book of the Year contest. I pray your guidance with the judges who face such a difficult decision choosing between so many books that glorify Him.

Please calm the jitters and nervous anticipation of the entrants, replacing them with a calm assurance of your will.

For those who have professional success in this contest, I pray you give them a humble heart of gratitude and help them to further glorify you in attitude and integrity. For those who walk away with nothing tangible, please give them reassurance in their talent and gift from you. There are no losers who keep their eyes fixed on you, intent to be content on the lot cast into his or her lap, as every decision is from above.

Amen.
