First-time attendees
Philippians 4:6–Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Lord, you know all about anxiety and the mindless ways we try to deal with it. However, you said to trust you and your peace would guard our hearts and minds.
I ask that each new attendee will remember that you have equipped them with the Word and your Spirit. Sometimes, confusion reigns when we enter new territory, but you have planned everyone’s steps and have made a way where there seems to be none. Now, I ask that as the new attendees pray, you would reveal yourself in a way that each one recognizes so that he or she might glean the blessing that you’ve already arranged. Prepare a kindred spirit atmosphere where kindness reigns and apprehension fades so that no new attendee, from the least to the greatest, would feel left out. May your blessing rest on each one!
