ACFW Conference Prayer: For all attending to rest in God’s timing for their lives
Psalm 37:4-5–Delight yourself in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it.
Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity you have given us to attend the conference. We’re looking forward to an exciting time and making many connections. Please help us entrust our hopes and expectations to you. We want to yield our hearts to you and accept your perfect timing and will for our writing journey. We look forward to what you’ll accomplish in and through us at the conference. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

‘Everything in God’s own time’;
that’s excellent advice,
but I need things turning on a dime,
so God, some speed is nice?
Maybe it was not wise of me
to quit my day job quite that quick,
but I had prophetic certainty’
of an NYT-list pick.
Alas, it didn’t work that way
so to overdraft I go,
and my banker has begun to say,
“It’s you banking with us, you know!”
But today, at last, I smiled and laughed
for I have finished the first draft.
