ACFW’s Volunteer Spotlight

I’m pleased to announce that Lacy Williams, a fellow Oklahoman, is in our Volunteer Spotlight this week. Lacy is currently the president of a local ACFW chapter–OCFW. She schedules and coordinates the speakers for the chapter as well as working with Mardel where they host the local meetings. She has planned an all-day workshop in the fall for OCFW chapter. She keeps her fellow writers up to date on what is going on with ACFW. She helps her local chapter members get ready for the national conference in September and teaches a class on how to pitch and promote their books. She started a mentoring programing for the OCFW members–pairing new authors with seasoned ones. She loves to mentor writers and has given her time and energy to OCFW. She has coordinated and advertised a local booksigning with authors from all over Oklahoma to help promote Christian fiction. She also serves as an area coordinator for ACFW as well as has volunteered at the national conference.

Thank you, Lacy, for all you’ve done for the national organization and your local chapter. We appreciate you.

  1. Lacy pours countless hours and energy into training writers and promoting ACFW, all while raising a young (and growing) family.

She has been the single most influential person in my writing career to date.

    Thank you, Lacy!!

  2. Thank you for the shout-out, Margaret! I enjoy giving back to ACFW because I have benefited so much from being a member of both my local chapters and the larger organization as a whole.
I would not be published if not for ACFW and I really appreciate such a wonderful group of supportive, encouraging writers. There is no place better!
