Upcoming ACFW Chapter Meetings and Events March part II

angelaUncategorized Leave a Comment

Friday evening, the ACFW Chicago Northwest Chapter will welcome Lin Johnson, owner and director of the Write to Publish Conference, held every June in the Chicago area (Wheaton College campus).

Lin brings a wealth of experience with conference, both from a director’s point of view, as well as faculty and conferee. She will speak on conference preparedness as we move into the 2010 conference season. Her tips will prove invaluable whether you plan to attend the ACFW 2010 conference in Indianapolis this coming September, Write to Publish, or any other conference.

If you are in the Chicago area next Friday night, come to the Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling, IL (in the northwest burbs) at 6:30 p.m. We’d love to have you join us.

What makes a piece of writing either CBA or ABA? How does an author decide if it’s fiction? Non-fiction?  Author Jane Myers Perrine will speak on “The Inspirational or the Secular Market: Which Does Your Writing Fit?” on Saturday, March 20th at the CenTex Chapter Meeting from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.  The talk will emphasize what makes an article or fiction an “inspirational” and why an author would choose one market or the other.
The meeting takes place in the Lane House at First Baptist Church, 306 Round Rock Avenue, Round Rock, Texas. For map and driving directions: http://www.fbcrr.org
