In “Two Suitors for Anna,” I show an Amish woman, Anna, who loves God and has a good life, until her world turns upside down when the love of her life, Noah, leaves their community instead of marrying her. She meets a newcomer, Daniel, who sparks her interest.

Anna’s life changed in an instant. Noah broke her heart. She prays to God, and seeks the council of her family and best friend.

I show Anna having strife in her life, but still taking the time to help others. In writing Anna, I was reminded it’s important to for me to remember friends, family, and those in need and not get caught up in my own hectic schedule. I like John 15:12, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” I’m so glad God doesn’t have a cell phone, and He’s never too busy to talk about anything, and that He has my best interest at heart. Without Him, I’d be a mess!

Time is one of the best gifts we can offer someone. Do you make yourself available when a family member or friend needs you? Do you delay staying in touch with a loved one? I’m guilty of not calling important people in my life as often as I should.

When I choose I John to study in the Bible, Chapter Four and Verse Eleven – Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another, pricks my heart, and I call or commit to visit the loved one I’ve neglected. I’m reminded “too busy” is not a good excuse.

Is there someone who would love to hear from you today?
